Waterman CF Fountain Pen Nib

In the 1950s a new fountain pen named the CF (a contraction of ink cartridge filler) was introduced by the Waterman pen company. The CF fountain pen went on to be a best seller for Waterman, and was produced in a wide variety of materials and finished before being phased out of production in the early 1980s. These pens are now sought after by pen collectors the world over and many are still used daily. Here you can view a collectable gold plated vintage Waterman CF fountain pen and accompanying ballpoint pen brought in by a member of the public and purchased by us in the shop.

Visconti Divina Imperial Blue

A Visconti Divina Imperial Blue fountain pen used as a hair grip by my partner on a recent visit to the shop. We normally stock the oversize Visconti Divina fountain pens in black and Imperial Blue finishes with the 925 silver trim, and as can be seen in the image she selected the Imperial Blue finish to keep her hair in place. The Divina uses the Hook Safe Lock system developed by Visconti to attach the cap to the pen, preventing the accidental unscrewing of the pen cap. View them and their full specification at Penbox.

After years in the planning and with the help of EU funding, philanthropy and private donations, the world’s smallest pen museum has now opened its doors to the public. The museum curator has gathered exhibits to illustrate a potted history of the fountain pen from c. 1880s – 1980s. Early examples of the ball pen are included as they brought about the demise of the fountain pen at the time. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
