Founded in 1761, Graf von Faber-Castell developed into the largest graphite and coloured pencil crayon manufacturer in Europe. Long since they have also become know worldwide for their writing instruments of all types and since 2003 have been producing a limited edition collection of “Pen of The Years”. In 2005 we saw the production of a the Graf von Faber Castell Pen of The Year 2005 finished in stingray leather (Galuchat) in varying shades of olive and grey. Each fountain pen having a unique finish of olive green, ivory hues or anthracite grey nuances. An unusual feature of this pen is the platinum plated bridge that runs the length of the barrel along with the stingray leather finish.

As we type, seventeen years since its production in 2005, we have one of these unique fountain pens available at Penbox.
