Red, Ivory and Blue Duofold Fountain Pen Finishes from Parker
The Parker Duofold range of pens are now available in three new finishes. The new finishes are big red, white and blue lazuli, all with gold trim and two tone nibs. As can be seen above the fountain pens also have a celluloid section in the same finish as the pen cap and barrel which is a departure from previous Duofold fountain pens. The fountain pens are available in both the Centennial and International sizes, and the new finishes are also available in ballpoint and rollerball writing modes. The caps have two raised cap bands and the barrel a single band as per the current Duofold FPs. The cap decal and the nib decoration also remain the same as current Parker Duofold pens. Instructions for the Visconti Travelling Inkwell

We have been asked on several occasions for instructions for using the Visconti travelling inkwell. Here are the instructions for use with the Visconti power filler filling fountain pens. It is suggested that you practice filling your pen from the portable inkwell using water before using ink.
- Remove the stopper.
- Fill the portable inkwell using the eyedropper, taking care not to stain the seal.
- The correct level is 1cm below the seal. See the line on the body of the travelling ink well.
- Press your pen firmly into the inkwell, so that the section secures against the seal.
- Unscrew the blind cap off the fountain pen.
- Remove (pull) the piston from the fountain pen.
- Upturn the inkwell and the fountain pen.
- Press the piston once firmly all the way back in, and count to five.
- Turn the inkwell upright again and screw the blind cap back onto the fountain pen.
- Remove the pen from the travelling inkwell, whilst taking care not to touch the seal with the nib, so as not to stain the seal.
- Replace the stopper into the inkwell.
- Dry the nib of excess ink.
- There is a piece of felt inside the stopper if needed to dry off the nib.

To coincide with the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Montegrappa honour the most celebrated footballer in the history of the sport ‘Pele’. This addition to the ‘Icons’ series of pens from Montegrappa is available in two versions, the Montegrappa Pele Heritage shown above and the P10. Both are limited editions of 1283 and 1940 silver and enamel fountain pens respectively.
The top of the cap of the Montegrappa Pele Heritage is shaped to represent a football, engraved ‘All Hail The King’ and enamelled with the colours of the Brazilian flag. The barrel is enamelled in blue to depict the colour of Pele’s shorts and the green and yellow blind cap at the end of the barrel depicts his socks. 125th Anniversary Parker Duofold Giant beside a Centennial Duofold
The Parker Duofold Giant is a limited edition of 125 fountain pens produced by Parker to celebrate their 125th year (1888 – 2013). Although originally forcast for release last year, it actually became available for purchase earlier this year. Using a combination of 18k gold inset with 16 diamonds (each .56 carat) on a black resin barrel and cap, Parker have produced a GIANT of a pen in all respects. By imaging the pen along side a Centennial sized 125th Anniversary Parker Duofold, itself a limited edition, we hope to have illustrated just how large this pen is. Whilst we have recently supplied the pen to one very fortunate customer, we also retail all Parker pens for those of us who cannot afford the £25,950 UK recommended retail price.
